Leo's Lightbulbs

Monday, March 18th

Hello everyone and welcome to Leo’s Lightbulbs! I’ll be covering the top news from the past week every Monday morning in your inbox. This newsletter was written completely by hand, without any AI assistance or even AI editing.

So, let’s jump right in! What happened in AI this week?

The biggest news is probably Apple coming out with their new AI announcement. This is likely to spur other companies to make similar announcements, and should have substantial influence on tech stocks trading in the stock market this week. We don’t yet know a ton, since we can’t actually use it. It’s possible the announcement was made due to declining Apple stock prices, with an attempt by the company to keep up with competitors by releasing AI news about products that are not ready for release.

Also, Apple’s possible agreement with Google to put Gemini in iPhones is quite surprising. To me, this is an indicator that Apple doesn’t think they are close to GTM (go to market) with AI, and need to bring in outside technology from a competitor. Very interesting.

TL;DR
